Pernikahan merupakan momen sakral, sebuah gerbang menuju fase kehidupan berikutnya. Sebagian orang memilih menunda dengan berbagai pertimbangan, mulai dari kesiapan mental, spiritual, hingga finansial. Sementara itu, bagi sebagian lainnya, pernikahan dipandang sebagai pilihan: antara perlu atau tidak perlu dijalani.<\/p>\n
Namun dalam konteks sosial masyarakat kita, pernikahan kerap dimaknai sebagai sebuah pencapaian. Ia hadir bukan hanya sebagai peristiwa personal, tetapi juga sebagai ekspektasi kolektif yang terus dipertanyakan: \u201ckapan menikah?\u201d. Pertanyaan ini, secara berulang, dapat berubah menjadi tekanan yang membentuk cara kita memandang diri sendiri.<\/p>\n
Melalui karya ini, saya mencoba merespons pertanyaan tersebut. Saya menghadirkan \u201cbukti\u201d fotografis bahwa saya telah \u201cmenikah\u201d, dengan mengolah objek temuan berupa arsip kepingan gambar dari masa lalu. Foto tersebut saya intervensi melalui teknik bordir dan mengawinkannya dengan potret diri, sehingga memperoleh fungsi dan makna baru dalam konteks masa kini.<\/p>\n
Marriage is a sacred moment, a gateway to the next phase of life. Some people choose to postpone it for many reasons\u2014mental, spiritual, or financial readiness. Others see marriage as an option: to do or not to do.<\/p>\n
In our social context, however, marriage is often read as an achievement. It appears not only as a personal event but also as a collective expectation that keeps being asked: \u201cWhen will you get married?\u201d Repeatedly posed, that question can turn into pressure that shapes how we see ourselves.<\/p>\n
With this work I respond to that question. I present photographic \u201cevidence\u201d that I have \u201cmarried,\u201d using found fragments from past image archives. I intervene in those photographs through embroidery and pair them with self-portraits, giving them new function and meaning in the present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
